Flock Must Be Stopped.
Flock “Safety” poses a threat to your reasonable expectation of privacy.
Flock Cameras make it simple for police to monitor and search still-frame location data without a warrant. Strategically placed cameras on every roadway create hundreds of data points every day, and searches can be based on license plate number, a description of the car’s make/model, or other visible information such as bumper stickers and other defining features. These systems are rife with abuse, and in most states there are no limits or protections on this data. As well, there is almost never accountability for the companies who supply the cameras.
